Chicken with bamboo and mushrooms

Shiitake mushrooms have been growing in China since 1000 year. They are considered as having one of many benefits for the body, as well as having an excellent taste, especially in combination with ingredients such as bamboo and chicken.

Chicken with bamboo and mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons starch
  • 400 g chicken fillets, cut in strips
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 100 ml water
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Vegeta
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 60 g fresh shiitake mushrooms
  • 100 g bamboo sprout cropping
  • 60 g red paprika, cut in strips
  • 100 ml oil

Preparation

  1. Sprinkle the chicken strips with corn flour and mix well.
  2. In a wok heat up the oil.
  3. Fry chicken strips (in very hot oil) until they become golden yellow in colour.
  4. Remove chicken strips, and in the same oil fry paprika, bamboo cropping and mushrooms, for a few minutes. Then strain all of the remaining oil.
  5. To the vegetables add soy sauce, sugar, Vegeta Gourmet Stock Powder and ginger.
  6. Stir in the water and sesame oil.

Serving: Mix the vegetables and meat well and serve hot accompanied with fried rice.

Advice: Instead of shiitake mushrooms you can also use any other type of mushrooms.
