Spinach carbonara

Ingredients

  • 50 g Podravka bacon
  • 150 g baby spinach
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon creamy cheese (like ricotta)
  • 1 teaspoon Vegeta Natur
  • 350 g Zlato Polje spaghetti (or Zlatica noodles)

Preparation

  1. Cut bacon into cubes.
  2. Wash spinach, drain well and chop in blender. Beat eggs, and add cheese, Vegeta Natur and spinach. Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water. Drain.
  3. Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water. Drain.
  4. Fry bacon until crispy in a wide pan. Remove bacon, and in remaining oil add prepared spinach mixture, heat briefly while stirring and then add hot spaghetti (if needed, add a little of the pasta cooking water). Stir well and remove from heat.

Serving: Stir well and remove from heat.

Advice: Instead of fresh spinach, you can also use prechopped Podravka frozen spinach.
