Chicken soup

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 200 g onion
  • 200 g carrots
  • 200 g celery root
  • 100 g parsley root
  • 1 L water
  • 2 Vegeta Natur chicken bouillon cubes
  • 200 g Podravka tinned peas
  • 500 g chicken (white meat, without skin)

Dumplings

  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • pinch of salt
  • 100 g Podravka smooth flour
  • 2 eggs

Preparation

  1. Wash meat and cut into cubes.
  2. Fry finely chopped onion and grated root vegetables in hot oil until softened. Add chicken and fry together briefly.
  3. Add water and bring to the boil. Add Vegeta Natur chicken bouillon cubes, cover and cook over low heat about 30 minutes.
  4. Mix together eggs, flour, salt and parsley with a fork to form dough for dumplings.
  5. Add dumplings in boiling soup and cook another 10 minutes.
  6. Once the dumplings are cooked, add drained and washed peas.

Advice: Cook dumplings by grabbing a spoonful of the mixture, and placing the spoon into the hot soup until the spoon heats up, and the dumpling will slide right off.
