Product quality and safety, business processes quality as well as constant improvement of business practices is Podravka's permanent and strategic goal.

Demands and satisfaction of our buyers and consumers, but other interested parties – stakeholders (owners, employees, suppliers, financial institutions, social community) have to be in balance and systemically communicated through all the business processes.

Podravka's fundamental guideline is the production of high quality and sanitary valid products. Foundation is good consumer practice and principles of managing food quality and safety. Food safety is an integral part of Podravka's management system, it represents Podravka's business bonton, and the primary goal of the food safety system is protecting consumer health.

Continuous improvement of the management system, based on ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems and on ISO 22000:2005 Food Safety MAnagement Systems.

Food safety and quality system policy

Production of high-quality and sanitary valid products based on good consumer practice and principles of quality management and food safety is Podravka's elementary guideline.

Field of work

ZFor the systemic approach to the management, standardization and improvement of the business processes, the division Business Quality was founded. Company's Management System is based on systemic approach, as on Figure 1. Areas of work of this division are implementation, maintenance and development of the integrated management system based on ISO 9001 (Quality Control System), ISO 14001 (Environment Management System), FSSC 22000 (Food Safety Management System), OHSAS 18001 (Health Protection And Occupational Hazard Management System), then HACCP principles of Codex Alimentarius (Hazard analysis and critical control points) and other norms and regulations relative for the food industry and its markets (IFS - International Food Standard, BRC - British Retail Consortium, NSF, Halal, Kosher and similar). Apart from that, Business Quality performs education for all the employees for the mentioned areas.

Representatives of Business Quality have been active within all the associations dealing with systemic approach to food quality in Croatia (HDK - HCroatian Association for Quality, HDMK – Croatian Assocition of Quality Managers), they are in touch with European organizations such as EOQ - European Organization for Quality, and they participate in the creation of legislative in the area of food safety. Podravka's approach to food safety and quality has been defined in Food safety and quality system policy, one of the fundamental documents of the management system.

With its activites and results in the area of management system Podravka proves its ability to satisfy the demands of the global market by establishing a more efficient business.
