After the inspectors of the European Union, the inspection of the US Department of Agriculture has also confirmed that Danica applies the highest world standards in processing meat products. The monitoring process lasted for an entire day and was carried out by Dr. Ghias Mughal, chief of the international inspection of USDA/FSIS and Dr. Hussain Magsi. The inspection was completed without further qualification.
At the final meeting, after gaining a thorough insight into the business procedures, technical-technological operations, the application of hygiene standards, and into the maintenance procedures, the inspectors expressed their satisfaction with what they had seen, while particular mention was given to the solid cooperation of the veterinarian inspection and the management of Danica.
According to Ivan Simunović, Director of Production, the American inspectors were in fact pleasantly surprised at the care devoted to quality control and the protection of consumers’ health and had no doubts about issuing the license for the further use of export number 139.
The Director of Danica, Darko Marinac, commented on the positive assessment of the American inspection in the following words: “At a time when some plants in Europe have lost their status as exporter, it is significant that Danica possesses official verification of its immaculate hygienic production and that a clear signal is sent to our consumers that high-quality, healthy food is produced here. This is presently our big chance and we intend to seize it by increasing exports to a number of countries, including the USA.
