Occupational Health & Safety System Policy
The dedication to reduce potential OHS risks is a systematic part of the business activities of PODRAVKA d.d., in which we are building a safe and healthy environment for our employees and other stakeholders.
Through management of the OHS system, PODRAVKA d.d. aims to continuously implement and promote the OHS culture by implementing and improving the requirements of the standard ISO 45001 and its principles, by committing to:
- Protect the health of all employees by providing a safe and healthy work environment
- Securing all the necessary resources for continuous improvements to the OHS management system, while taking into account the needs and expectations of employees and other interested parties pursuant to their own context
- Continuously training, developing and educating employees, to ensure better employee competencies and to raise awareness concerning OHS issues
- Conduct assessments of risks and opportunities in the OHS management system, identify and remove hazards, and minimise and control risks to health and safety of our employees
- Operate in line with the fundamental values of Podravka, legal and regulatory requirements, valid regulations, implemented standards, and recognised rules of occupational safety
- Implement the set goals of OHS and monitor effectiveness of achieving the set goals in OHS that are aligned with the overall strategic goals of the company, thereby ensuring continuous improvements to the system as a whole
- Transparent communications and understanding the needs and expectations of all interested parties to enable their participation in the process of improving the OHS management system
- Timely inform all stakeholders in the OHS system about the risks to health and safety that they can be exposed to at the Podravka workplace
- Ensure additional health care for employees with the aim of preserving health and work capabilities.
Through the provisions of this policy, we encourage the stakeholders in the OHS system to actively take responsibility for the aspects of occupational safety that they have personal control over and authority over, or to act on them via authorised persons and the employee representative for occupational safety.
Through active assessments of efficiency and through continuous investments into measures to improve the OHS system, the Podravka Management Board secures the conditions for achieving the goals defined in this policy.
