Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova visited Podravka

Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Vasile Tarlev today visited Podravka in its headquarters in Koprivnica. In the Prime Minister’s entourage were among others the Minister of Culture and Tourism Arthur Cozma, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Trade Sergiu Sainciuc, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integrations Valeriu Ostalep and Moldavian ambassador to Croatia Valeriu Bobutac. They were accompanied by the ministers in Croatian government Branko Vukelić and Petar Čobanković, and ambassadors Ivica Maštruko and Miro Kovač. They were welcomed by the members of Podravka’s Board Dragan Habdija and Miroslav Vitković, who pointed out that Moldavian Prime Minister has done them a great honor by choosing Podravka as the company to visit in Croatia and get acquainted with its management and business.

At a working meeting the Moldavian delegation presented their economy and the possibility of cooperation with local companies. Prime Minister Tarlev pointed out that the Moldavian market offers to all interested companies a direct export to all countries of the former Soviet Union. Danko Martinčević, director in Podravka for East European Market pointed out that there have been some inquiries on the possibility to launch Podravka’s products to Moldavian market, but so far they have not been realized. Ministers Vukelić and Čobanković thanked Podravka for its hospitality and announced a forthcoming Croatian-Moldavian economy forum where better economic cooperation of the two countries will be considered.

After the working meeting Prime Minister Tarlev visited the Vegeta factory and Podravka Soups factory where he was familiarized with the latest technologies in the production of those renowned Podravka’s brands.
