Podravka wins Euromoney Award for Excellence

The Euromoney Award is one of the most prestigious international awards, primarily within the segment of finance and financial institutions, but also of corporations that do not come from the world of finance.

The managing director of Euromoney, Richard Ensor, and the director for Central and Eastern Europe, Martin Born, presented today in Zagreb the 2005 Award for Excellence to the President of Podravka’s Management Board, Darko Marinac.

Euromoney, which is one of the most influential financial magazines, conducted for the first time a ranking of companies in the area of Central and Eastern Europe. The ranking was based on a survey that involved the leading banks, marketing analysts and research institutions in the region. The survey was based on companies’ market position, potential for growth, profitability and management quality. Among 336 companies included in the survey, Podravka was named the best.

The Euromoney Award is one of the most prestigious international awards, primarily within the segment of finance and financial institutions, but also of corporations that do not come from the world of finance. The Euromoney Award for Excellence was established in 1991 with the purpose of identifying the best banks and corporations in different regions and countries throughout the world.

This award is only one of a number of acknowledgments recently awarded to Podravka. Thus, Podravka has recently received the ISO 9000:2001 certificate for business quality in business, and for its meat industry, which was also awarded an export license for processed meats by the American inspection, as one of only three Croatian companies. Likewise, Vegeta, according to a survey conducted by the Slovenian CATI agency, was proclaimed the best known brand in the area of Southeast Europe.
