Podravka to build a new plant for Lino children's food
This is a HRK 100 million investment which will be completed by the end of next year. The Lino brand, i.e. Čokolino, is the most famous of Podravka's brands in the territory of South Eastern Europe.
Podravka is about to begin the construction of a new plant for Lino children’s food and cereals, in the industrial zone of Danica in Koprivnica, next to the existing plant for the production of cream spreads. This is a HRK 100 million investment which will be completed by the end of next year.
Together with Vegeta and the principal brand Podravka, the Lino brand, i.e. Čokolino, is the most famous of Podravka’s brands in the territory of South Eastern Europe. Children’s food, with the well-known Lino teddy bear, has been present in the market for 35 years. Many generations have grown up with this brand and still consume it today even though it is primarily designed for children.
"Lino is a brand that has been nurturing its customer relations and which now has very loyal consumers. Since 1975 consumers have received a Lino calendar which is published in a large edition and which was sent to all the markets of ex-Yugoslavia this year, adapted to 6 languages. Given the increased needs of the market, which the existing plant, due to its small capacity, has difficulty in meeting, the construction of a new plant has become a necessity. The new plant will be built in accordance with all legal, technological and ecological standards specified by the European Union,” says Nataša Stanič Mitsios, Category Manager for Lino children’s food.
