Podravka soups in more than 30 countries for the past 45 years
Today is the 45th anniversary of the production of Podravka soups. On this occasion we will draw out the name of the winner who will participate in the prize game "For loyalty to the heart of Podravka". Today Podravka soups are sold in more than 30 countries around the world. Together with packet soups Podravka has also developed new categories of products such as semi-processed Talianetta dishes with pasta and rice, Fant special food complements and Fini-Mini instant soups.

The first Podravka soups appeared 45 years ago, in 1957, when Podravka laboratories produced the first four packet soups. The following year Podravka launched today’s bestseller – chicken soup with noodles, together with another classic – beef soup with noodles. Chicken soup with noodles now accounts for 45% of soup sales on all markets and it is worth mentioning that it is sold in more than 30 countries around the world. Since 1957 Podravka has expanded the range of packet soups, while the internationalisation of Podravka soups began in 1994. Podravka soups followed soon after Vegeta in penetrating Central European markets. The outstanding success of Podravka soups, together with Vegeta, has enabled Podravka to expand into other product categories as well (children’s food, the dessert programme, Danica meat and meat products, fruit and vegetables, Belupo pharmaceuticals, drinks, mill and bakery products).
Today Podravka soups are sold in more than 30 countries around the world. Together with packet soups Podravka has also developed new categories of products such as semi-processed Talianetta dishes with pasta and rice, Fant special food complements and Fini-Mini instant soups. Podravka’s edge in relation to its competitors lies in the homemade flavour of its soups which are adapted to the local tastes of particular markets. For example, in Russia Podravka produces Borsch and Schi soups and in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia Podravka produces goulash and two-litre soups, etc. Nowadays Podravka has about 90 brands of packet soups and stock cubes on all markets, with more than 20 large gastro packets. In 2002 the strategic business unit of Podravka dishes was awarded the ISO 9001:2000 quality certificate. The success of the programme has led to new investment – the construction of a new plant of Podravka meals in Koprivnica.
