Podravka rewards the innovativeness of its employees

In order to encourage the development and improvement of business processes and the innovativeness of its employees, Podravka's Board has adopted a Rule Book according to which the company's employees whose ideas contribute to improving company processes will be rewarded.

In order to encourage the development and improvement of business processes and the innovativeness of its employees, Podravka’s Board has adopted a Rule Book according to which the company’s employees whose ideas contribute to improving company processes will be rewarded. In this way, Podravka’s Board wishes to motivate employees to present and be rewarded for their ideas and creativity. Besides, Podravka has developed from the innovativeness of its employees, the best known example being Prof. Zlata Bartl’s team that invented Vegeta.

The improvement of business processes can be suggested by any employee in the form of a proposal that can be applied in this area. The employee whose proposal is recognised as having contributed to the development and improvement of business processes is entitled to a financial reward. The reward for proposals in the area of new product development or for solving a specific problem in the production process will include a fixed and a variable part. The fixed part will range from HRK 1,000 to HRK 20,000, while the variable part in the case of a new product will be 2% of the realised net profit from that product within a period of 2 years. In the case of the implementation of a technical and technological or any other solution which allows the company to save money, in addition to the fixed part, the employee will receive a variable part of 2% of the amount saved in a period of 2 years. Also, for a concrete idea, whose implementation is useful to Podravka, the employee will receive from HRK 300 to HRK 500.

Employees’ proposals will be evaluated by a special Commission consisting of the president Katarina Matijević (Director of Product Development), and members Miroslav Repić (Director of Production II), Zvonimir Antičić (Director of Strategic Development), Romeo Nakić (Director of Marketing) and Lars Jakobsson (General Director of Finance).
