Podravka deposits 1 million kunas in Podravka Bank for veterans' loans Minister Pancic visits Podravka
The Association of Croatian War Veterans, Widdows and Disabled in Podravka has decided to deposit 1 million kunas in the Podravka Bank which will facilitate granting loans of 3 million kunas for about 70 veterans employed in Podravka.
The Association of Croatian War Veterans, Widdows and Disabled in Podravka has about 1200 members. Unfortunately, the current Law on Croatian Veterans does not allow for almost any benefits for those who had not suffered injuries in the war against Croatia. Therefore, the Association has decided to deposit 1 million kunas in the Podravka Bank which will facilitate granting loans of 3 million kunas for about 70 veterans employed in Podravka.
During his visit to Podravka the Croatian Veterans’ Minister Ivica Pancic met the representatives of the Association of Croatian War Veterans, Widdows and Disabled in Podravka, and stated: “This very example of Podravka shows the way towards solving the problems of the Croatian veterans. Furthermore, it would be desirable to have more of such healthy companies.”
“Podravka has always taken care of its people including those who should be given more than the others. I believe that this business decision will be supported by all our employees,” the President of the Management Board Darko Marinac said.
