Official opening of a new "Podravka" plant in Poland
The "Podravka" plant for the production of "Vegeta" soups and other powdered goods, built in the Polish town of Kostrzyn, will be officially opened on Saturday, 28th October 2000.
The “Podravka” plant for the production of “Vegeta” soups and other powdered goods, built in the Polish town of Kostrzyn, will be officially opened on Saturday, 28th October 2000. The plant will be inaugurated and put into operation by the President of the Republic of Croatia, Stjepan Mesić, and the President of Poland, Aleksander Kwasniewski. Representatives of the Croatian Government, Polish state officials, business partners and a large number of reporters are also expected to attend the ceremony. The factory in Kostrzyn has been constructed in a free trade area.
The “Vegeta” and soup production processes are computer operated, the building complex covers an area of 11,000 m2, and the factory employs 117 workers. The value of the investment amounts to DM 32million, and this should give “Podravka” the opportunity to compete on fair terms on the market.
