New Vegeta filling lines opened

The first line will be used for filling 250, 500 and 1000g tins and combi packs with Vegeta. Its technical capacity is ten times greater than that of the current filling and packaging system.

Two new Vegeta filling lines are being set up in the Vegeta factory in Koprivnica. The value of this investment is approximately EUR 1,000,000.

The first line will be used for filling 250, 500 and 1000g tins and combi packs with Vegeta. Its technical capacity is ten times greater than that of the current filling and packaging system. The second line is designed for packaging Vegeta and Vegeta Twist into 100g plastic and glass bottles, as well as the whole Vegeta Twist range into 80g and 180g plastic bottles.

The new lines are completely automated with high-tech capacities. After the completion of the instalment and testing of the new lines, they will be piloted for a month. According to the first test production results, the lines are working in conformity to the provisions stipulated in the contract with the British company Gwa G. WEW automation limited.

In the first nine months of 2003, the sales revenues of Vegeta amounted to HRK 420.7million, which makes up 18% of the sales revenue structure and is a dominant share in the total sales of the Podravka Group. Vegeta is Podravka’s best-known brand, sold in more than 40 countries around the world. Today it has a prominent market position in the category of universal food complements in the markets of Southeast, Central and Eastern Europe. In recent years it has also achieved substantial growth in the markets of Western Europe, Canada and Australia.
