New Award to Podravka's Annual Report

The competition was organised for the 51st time by the Type Directors Club from New York, featuring a total of 2456 works from 37 countries, out of which 226 were short listed for their quality

The annual report of Podravka d.d. for 2003 won the Typographic Excellence Award in one of the most prestigious world competitions for typography. The report entitled Secrets of Good Cuisine is the work of the marketing agency Bruketa&Žinić.

The competition was organised for the 51st time by the Type Directors Club from New York, featuring a total of 2456 works from 37 countries, out of which 226 were short listed for their quality. The Typographic Excellence award is presented for the top quality use of typography. In the award-winning Podravka Report, the designer, Maja Bagić, used Croatian typography by Nikola Đurek.

The Typographic Excellence Award also means inclusion in the Annual Typography 26 Annals and participation in the exhibition which will tour the USA, Canada, Europe and Japan this summer. Last year, the author of the Bruketa&Žinić agency won the same award for Bon Appetit, Podravka’s 2002 report. The Secrets of Good Cuisine report has so far won a gold medal at the International Advertising Festival in Moscow, and the Small Bell at Fest 2004. The work was also included in the Graphis Annual Reports 2005.
