At their 26. session Podravka’s Supervisory Board approved the Management Board’s investment worth HRK 29.3 million to build a distribution warehouse in Dugopolje. This will be the first distribution center in Dalmatia, and its building will start this month, while the end of construction work is planned in June next year.
At its last session Supervisory Board complied with Management Board’s decision to invest HRK 29.3 million in building a distribution center in Dugopolje near Split. Four years ago Podravka bought a building lot of 10,000 m2 in Podi, Dugopolje trading zone, and the new distribution center will span more than 5,000 m2. Products for Dalmatian region Podravka was until now been distributing from eight different warehouses. Building this distribution center in Dugopolje will make the sales even more efficient, because distribution will be controlled in one place, said Board member Miroslav Vitković. This distribution center will be a high-rack warehouse, completely automated and computerized, it will have more than five thousand pallet places and will employ about 70 people.
