Blanka Vlašić joins the initiative of dm and Studena

On the occasion of World Water Day Studena and dm presented each buyer today with half a liter water in 83 dm stores throughout Croatia. More than 25 000 liters of water Studena provided refreshment to all dm buyers and reminded them of everyday importance of drinking water for human organism.

Initiative of dm and Studena for such an action rose from the fact that nature today is getting more and more polluted and the consciousness about preserving it clean and emphasizing health is getting more and more necessary. The initiative was also supported by Blanka Vlašić who surprised the buyers with a bottle of water and her autograph.

"For the World Water Day we have decided to draw the attention of our citizens to water and its significance for our everyday life. Together with our partner Studena we believe that in this symbolic way we will make a positive influence to every visitor in this one of the 83 dm stores in Croatia and that way point out the importance of everyday consumption of mineral and spring water for organism", said Mirko Mrakužić, dm director.
Crystal clear, cold and refreshing – water is an invaluable element and the most important substance in human body. Water regulates breathing, digestion, body temperature, participates in all biochemical processes in our body, regulates metabolism. It is circling in our body carrying dissolved nutritional elements and oxygen. Water can show its strength outside the body as well as in it. When used inside, water ensures normal exchange of substances and functioning of all organs. For that we need to take 2 liters of water a day. If we drink water only when we feel the need, our organism is already suffering from dehydration.
