A delegation from the Embassy of FR Yugoslavia in Podravka

The ambassador of FR Yugoslavia in the Republic of Croatia, Milan Simurdić, and his associates have just visited Podravka. Darko Marinac, the President of the Podravka Management Board, and Damir Polančec, member of the Podravka Management Board, welcomed the Yugoslav Ambassador and his closest associates.

The topic raised at the meeting was the business of Podravka on the market of FR Yugoslavia, as well as the possibilities for the broadening of co-operation. At the beginning of last year, Podravka registered its company in Belgrade and began to do business in this market. The market of FR Yugoslavia is one of Podravka’s most promising markets in terms of product distribution. However, opportunities for co-operation are much wider. In fact, Podravka realised about 40% of its total sales revenues on this market at the end of the 80s and the beginning of the 90s, and purchased about 60% of raw material for processing from this market. In addition, Podravka is also interested in co-operation with individual food producers in FR Yugoslavia who would be attracted by the opportunity to collaborate with Podravka, a company which has its own companies in 16 countries, production in 4 countries, well-known brand names that are sold in some 40 countries around the world, and a distribution network which ranges from the Adriatic to the North Sea.
