Make these original seitan steaks infused with beer-flavoured marinade and serve them with a sauce and salad of your choice.
- Drizzle the seitan steaks with Vegeta marinade with beer and allow to rest for at least 30-40 minutes.
- Cook the marinated seitan steaks on greased medium hot grill for a couple of minutes each side, brushing with the remaining marinade.
- Mince the garlic, add 3 spoonfuls olive oil, the sour cream, mayonnaise, grated ginger and a pinch of salt. Mix to blend and add crushed mixed peppercorns.
Serving: Serve seitan steaks with a spoonful of mild relish or sauce of your choice, and a tossed salad.
Advice: Seitan is nutritious high-protein, low-fat and cholesterol-free food. It is a great source of iron, vitamin C, thiamine, riboflavin and niacin, and a wonderful substitute for meat.
