Podravka and Rieber & Son form strategic alliance in Poland
This alliance is the result of nearly a year of preparations and negotiations between the strategic partners, and represents a significant step towards the improvement of both companies' business.
Rieber Food Polska S.A. and Podravka International Export-Import Sp. z o.o. have formed a strategic alliance in sales and distribution for the Polish market. This alliance between the daughter companies of renowned food manufacturers, the Norwegian Rieber & Son and the Croatian Podravka d.d., is the result of nearly a year of preparations and negotiations between the strategic partners, and represents a significant step towards the improvement of both companies’ business.
With this alliance, which officially begins on 1 November 2005, Podravka and Rieber have created a common sales force which is much larger and stronger than the existing sales organisations of each individual partner, and is fully organised to meet the needs of the large and demanding Polish market.
At the same time, the partners in this alliance will also save significant costs in sales and distribution. Besides the cost effects, this synergy provides other important benefits. This is primarily market power, which is achieved by a stronger common range of products, and by the fact that, by joining forces, Podravka and Rieber will represent a substantially larger and more serious supplier in this market.
