Darko Marinac at 'Strategic Community Investment' conference

Podravka's experience and approach towards community investment and the business rationale for engagement was shared with some 40 business managers from national and international companies operating in Croatia, as well as with representatives from key Croatian NGOs, business associations and representatives of international agencies participating in the working conference.

Mr Darko Marinac of Podravka, International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF) member company, was one of the keynote speakers at the conference: "Strategic Community Investment: Practical Approaches for Businesses" held in The Hotel Regent Esplanade in Zagreb on 19th October, 2006.

The conference was organised by USAID, Academy for Educational Development (AED) Croatian Chamber of Commerce, UNDP and IBLF.
It focused on the role of business in society, with a particular emphasis on practical approaches to community investment and employee engagement, as a way through which business can contribute to local development for the benefit of both.
