The best Croatian and world female athlete Blanka Vlašić was awarded for her results this year at today’s reception in Podravka by her sponsor Studena.
From the very beginning Podravka and Studena recognized both sport and human potential of Blanka Vlašić and saw in her the future champion and provided the help that was so much needed at the time.
Addressing the gathered members of the press, Blanka thanked Studena and Podravka for the support they provided in the past seasons and pointed out that even today, when she has numerous offers from other sponsors, Studena and Podravka come first because they were with her from the very beginning.
Accompanied by Podravka Management Board president Darko Marinac and Board member Saša Romac, Blanka summarized the season, and their hosts did not hide their pleasure with Blanka’s results and cooperation so far.
The dream season is behind her. She has won practically everything that could be won; as Europe’s best female athlete she took 21 victory, 18 in the open and three indoors, and she won all of the Golden League competitions, except Oslo. Also, 20 competitions she ended with at least two meters. Next to all that, Blanka holds the title of the world champion in Osaka, and European Athlete Association (EAA) proclaimed her the best female athlete of the year.
