Podravka, HT, EPH and Sportske novosti with Lino All-rounder

Years-long joint project between Podravka and Sportske novosti Čokolino All-rounder got a new partner - Croatian telekom, but also a new name - Lino All-rounder. Contract on joint cooperation on the project that has managed to bring together 90,000 elementary school children so far, was signed today in Zagreb by Podravka Management Board member Krunoslav Bešvir, marketing telecommunication department director in HT Vedrana Hercigonja Majetić and Sportske novosti director Janko Goleš. Also present at the signing of the contract was a celebrated Croatian swimmer Gordan Kožulj who has participated on Lino All-rounder several times.

Lino all-rounder has been designed to encourage school sports, development of sport habits with pupils and to promote their cultural creativity.

Initiated by the legendary captain of the Croatian football representation Zvonimir Boban, this project started in the school year 2006/07, and each year 24 competitions are being held, along with one final one, where the winners of all school competitions are gathered, trying to win the realization of their sport dream. Namely, along with the cup, the winners of Lino All-rounder also get an opportunity to choose a sport event they want to attend, and Podravka and Sportske novosti make their dream come true. So far two winners of Lino All-rounder realized their sport dream - Josip Lotar from Županja went to the Champions League game between Barcelona and Lyon where he met his football idol Lionel Messi, and Stipe Božiković from Jelsa went to the finals of UEFA European league in Hamburg between Atletica Madrid and Fulham and spent some time with handball players Vori, Duvnjak and Lacković. One of the girl winners Katarina Milinković, inmate for the homeless children home in Zagreb, got a scholarship by Podravka.

In four seasons Lino All-rounder turned into a true festival of children's joy and creativity. Before each competition the schools hold precompetitions where the best representatives of each generation are being selected to perform in various sport disciplines, entertainment numbers are prepared as part of the cultural and art program, billboards are being painted, cheerleading props prepared, literary compositions are being written where children portray their view of the world. The very competition is being held among an unforgettable cheerleading atmosphere, respecting all the rules of fair play. In each school little sportsmen are joined by at least one distinguished Croatian sportsman or sportswoman, which provides a special charm to the whole event. Children rejoice their and other sports achievements in running, the long jump, free shooting on a goal, basket, pulling rope, relay race, look forward to spending time with Zvonimir Boban, Goran Ivanišević, Janica Kostelić, Blanka Vlašić, Mirza Džomba, Ivano Balić, Dubravko Šimenc, Gordan Kožulj, Robert Prosinečki, Mirko Filipović, Vlado Šola, Domagoj Duvnjak, Sandra Perković, Ivan Ljubičić, Duje Draganja, Luka Modrić, Slaven Bilić, Filip Ude, Manuel Štrlek, Igor Vori, handball players of Podravka, football players of Dinamo, Hajduk, Šibenik, Osijek and other top sportsmen. Next to them they learn how nice it is to win, but how fair play is also important, as well as helping your team, shaking hands with a player better than yourself. They learn about real sport values, they get an opportunity to present their creativity, they show that sport and culture can go hand in hand.

Distinguished by its idea, acceptance with children and the positive messages it carries, separating it among the projects that Podravka supports, Lino All-rounder will start the new season enriched with new contents. Ceremonial opening of the new season is scheduled for 30 September at 12 in Ljudevit Gaj elementary school in Nova Gradiška which was proclaimed the best host in the past season.
