Ministry exceptionally satisfied with cooperation with Podravka

  - Ministry of Family, Veterans and Intergenerational Solidarity is exceptionally satisfied with cooperation with Podravka in the project of buying products from Croatian veterans' cooperatives for the purposes of Podravka's industrial processing, minister Tomislav Ivić concluded over today's visit to Podravka.

 In a meeting, minister Ivić met the president and members of Podravka Management Board, discussing joint cooperation on the project of buying products from veterans cooperatives.

 - This meeting was an opportunity to discuss what has been done so far, and mutual satisfaction is evident in the fact that since we signed the contract in January the number of veterans cooperatives grew from one to four. The following year we expect to cooperate with at least six cooperatives, and our goal is long term partnership, Podravka Management Board president Zdravko Šestak said, announcing also the expansion of the current cooperation.

 The minister said that the meeting held at Podravka was very good and he thanked Podravka on stimulating development of cooperatives in the entire Republic of Croatia.

- We are more than satisfied with this cooperation and in the last couple of years much has been done in developing veterans' cooperatives. Podravka is recognized as a company that takes care of veterans, the proof of which is also Podravka's Foundation "Always with a heart" that helps veterans.

Pursuant to an Agreement between Podravka and the Ministry of Family, Veterans and Intergenerational Solidarity, three-year cooperation has been determined in the project of buying products produced by Croatian veterans' cooperatives for the purposes of Podravka's industrial processing.

So far Podravka has bought from the veterans' cooperatives around 355 tons of cucumbers, red pepper, hot peppers, egg plant and beetroot.

 The press conference was also an opportunity to announce the fair of veterans' cooperatives which will be held on the central square in Koprivnica on 26th September, with more than 200 veterans' cooperatives participating.
