The Fourth Scholarship and Support Giving Ceremony of the Foundation «Prof. Zlata Bartl"

The Fourth scholarship and support giving ceremony of the Foundation «Prof. Zlata Bartl» has taken place today in Koprivnica. At Podravka Culinary and educational centre Stagelj, the Podravka President of the Board, Darko Marinac has given 10 scholarships and 6 supports to the best students who applied to this year’s contest.

Podravka through the "Prof. Zlata Bartl" Foundation continuously has been investing into the development of young Croatian scientists and researchers. In that way, it contributes systematically to the development of the society and the community as a whole.

The right to receive the scholarship and support had these undergraduate students:

• if they are not older than 22;
  
• if they did not fail any year during studying;
  
• and if their average grades in their course of studying are 4,5 or higher.

The right to receive the scholarship and support had these postgraduate students:

• If they are not older than 30;
  
• if their average grades in their course of studying are 4, 5 or higher.
• and if they are fluent in two foreign languages, one of them is English and if they have an advanced computer knowledge – an ability to use computer.

The candidates, who have met the aforementioned criteria to be given scholarship and supports, must have had these things: a successful studying – as a basic criterion, scientific and/or textbook works, the dean and rector awards, international awards and professor’s recommendations.

Until today, there have been four contests with continuity to give scholarships and supports to the regular undergraduate and postgraduate students. The first contest was published in 2004. In December of 2007. the Fourth Contest of the «Prof. Zlata Bartl» Foundation has been closed. In the last four years, the students were granted a total of 73 scholarships and supports. And for this academic year, 10 scholarships and 6 supports.

Podravka decided to start the "Prof. Zlata Bartl" Foundation on October, 18. 2001., The «Prof. Zlata Bartl» Foundation has been established in order to promote and encourage the creative and scientifical and research work among young highly educated people, who are the citizens of Croatia, regardless of their professions or places of study. With establishing it, Podravka wants to encourage a creation of top-notch scientists and researchers in the model of prof Zlata Bartl.

The activities of the «Prof Zlata Bartl» Foundation have an intention to discover new talented young people and to continuously invest into their knowledge and skills, and one of the most important goals is an exemplary, successful and persistent search of new ideas and visions. The basic criterion to be given a scholarship and support of the «Prof. Zlata Bartl Foundation» is excellency of the candidate in studying and scientifical and research work.
