Continuing the project of outsourcing the non-core businesses outside the Podravka system, a contract was signed today in Koprivnica between Podravka and the City of Koprivnica, based on which 12 employees in Podravka's fire protection unit will as of 1st November become a part of public fire-fighting unit in Koprivnica, about which a special contract on taking over the workers will be signed.
After the announced competition and specified conditions of performing fire-fighting duty in Podravka facilities, the most favourable bidder of the stated service was the public fire-fighting unit of the City of Koprivnica.
Five-year contract on providing services of fire-fighting and preventive operating businesses was signed between the Podravka Management Board president Miroslav Vitković, the mayor of Koprivnica Zvonimir Mršić and the commander of the public fire-fighting unit of Koprivnica Slavko Tucaković.
"This is just one among many projects started in cooperation between Podravka and the City of Koprivnica. Our primary goal is to increase the efficiency of business operations, so we will continue our cooperation also on other projects", Podravka Management Board president Miroslav Vitković said upon signing the contract.
"Complying to legislative demands on fire protection and fire-fighting Podravka decided to out-source the tasks of fire duty to five locations in Koprivnica. This solution enables 12 of Podravka employees to find their place in the public fire-fighting unit, whose professionalism, mobility and operative readiness is beyond question", mayor Mršić said.
It was concluded that Podravka and the City of Koprivnica will with their joint efforts, and in the public interest, elevate the quality in fire protection to a higher level, reducing costs of this activity at the same time.
