Environmental Protection Policy

The protection of the environment is one of the priorities of Podravka, and it is done through the implementation of the principles of the sustainable development and cleaner production. All the activities must be in compliance with the valid national legislative and regulations concerning the protection of the environment as well as with the regulations of the countries that the company works with. If case of absence of their own regulations, the international standards are applied.

The largest problems which could cause the most serious consequences are resolved as a priority, and later other problems as well. The resolution of the remaining known problems and of those that may be predicted show Podravka's concerted aim to achieve European environmental protection.

The concrete actions are being implemented by The Action Plan of the Protection of the Environment which is subject to constant improvements.

Podravka obliges to the national usage of the best sources of energy and raw materials, waste management as well as a constant prevention of the negative impact on the environment both its production and its products and services.

The Group will act in its community according to the principles of the Environment Protection Policy of Grupa Podravka d.d.

Podravka obliges to the constant public announcements about the present situation on the evironment protection and to the education and motivation of their employees for a constant improvement of the state of the environment protection.

This kind of environmental protection implies integral solutions for all of the company's entitites, which are as follows:

The priority are the biggest probllems which are resolved which could have more serious consequences and later all the otherrs. The problems which are known and those one which are expected are aimed at the bringing closer Podravka to the European standards on environmental protection.
