Trainee programmes

Internship is very important for further professional development of every young person getting employed for the first time. This is the main reason why we introduced certain mechanisms that will assist in getting acquainted with the company, its culture, people, processes and training programme which together with the development of communicational competencies develops a training culture at the very start of a career.

The manner of induction for a young expert with university qualifications who has been employed for the first time has a decisive effect on his/her further professional development. Therefore, internship in our company is well defined, structured and organized in order to make induction highly successful.

The purpose of the internship programme is as follows:

  • Supplementing professional knowledge and skills so far acquired
  • Adaptation of new employees to the organizational culture and other employees
  • Mastering necessary competencies for independent job performance for which the trainee is preparing

The key holders of this programme together with the trainee are the mentor and Human Resources Sector.

The internship programme at our company consists of two basic modules:

  • General internship programme
  • Specialist internship programme placing equal importance to acquiring professional-specialist knowledge and familiarizing the company, its organization, culture, corporate standards and procedures, as well as people who work there.

In its strategy Podravka has highlighted "knowledge as the most valuable asset" it possesses. This is the very reason why trainees are offered a set of training programmes based on acquiring and advancing organizational, communicational and presentation skills and capabilities.
