Which trainee programmes does Podravka offer?

Our company has a well planned and detailed internship period. There are particular mechanisms for gaining in-depth understanding of the company, its culture, people, processes and training programmes that along with the development of communicational competencies also develop an educational culture at the very start of a career. The manner of job induction for a young expert with tertiary qualifications getting employed for the first time has crucial impact on his/her further professional development. Therefore, internship in our company is well defined, structured and organised in order to achieve successful induction.

POMAK

Led by the company's strategic guidelines and recognizing corporate policy guidelines, our company, in cooperation with the Faculty of Economics of Zagreb, has established a training programme for managers under the name: Podravka Management Academy - "POMAK".

The purpose of this training programme is to better fulfil demands that the present market economy conditions place before the company. The "POMAK" programme started in 2003 and the third generation has recently enrolled.

As POMAK is the first academy of this type in Croatia, we have already received many enquiries from companies interested to include their employees into our programme. This makes POMAK even more significant not only for us but for other companies that see it as a means of acquiring competencies and skills to respond to the demands of the present market economy and globalisation processes.

The POMAK participants are higher and top level management of the Podravka Group that have been assessed and recognized as having high developmental potential.

The Academy programme consists of two basic modules:

FBA (Fundamentals of Business Administration Programme), covers the so-called "hard" managerial competencies and consists of submodules covering the field of financial, marketing, strategic, global and general management.
Submodule lecturers are full time professors from the Faculty of Economics of Zagreb as well as foreign professors and lecturers from different schools of business, MBA programmes and similar.
LEADER has been developed for the purpose of developing so-called "soft" managerial competencies and skills, covering submodules from the field of leadership, motivation, management, communications, negotiating and other.
Submodule lecturers are free-lance lecturers, psychologists and communication specialists.
