Continuing Education

The principal goal of every educational process is to utilise the acquired knowledge and skills in everday work as best possible. In its strategy, Podravka has recognised "knowledge as its most valuable asset". Therefore 40% of about 3000 employees are involved in different forms of education.

Podravka's Employee Development Plan is divided into three areas:

  • general knowledge
  • expert-specialist knowledge
  • general managerial knowledge, skills and capabilities.

The educational system covers all employees with tertiary qualifications from day one at the company.

English is the second official language in the Company, thus the company standard is defined by exams based on the European Council ALTE (Association of Language Testers in Europe) standards and the level of English language fluency is certified by taking the Cambridge ESOL (English for speakers of other language) exam.
