
Make your own vegetable specialty using Fant mix for stewed vegetables Ratatouille. Combination of various vegetables and selected herbs makes this meal exceptionally delicious. The origin of this meal is the French region Provence, town Nice. It can be served as a warm or cold hors-d'oeuvre or as the main course. It is prepared from egg-plants, zucchini, various colour peppers, tomatoes and added herbs (basil, marjoram, oregano, thyme and other). Fant mix for stewed vegetables is an ideal base to prepare stewed vegetables.
Ingredients: dried tomato 26%, table salt, wheat flour, corn starch, dried onion, sugar, flavour enhancer (monosodium glutamate), yeast extract, dried garlic, herbal fat, basil, oregano, thyme, white pepper, marjoram, acid (citric acid). May contain eggs, milk and celery in trace amounts.
Usage: For 4 portions add 300 g peppers (green, red, yellow), 200 g egg-plants, 200 g zucchini, 200 g tomato (peeled tomatoes), 20 g butter.
Preparation:
- Cut the vegetables in thin stripes.
- Slightly stew the peppers and egg-plants for 5 minutes on the heated butter. Add zucchini and tomato (strained peeled tomatoes) and stew for another 3 minutes.
- Pour with 300 ml lukewarm water and add the contents of the bag.
- Stew for 10 – 15 minutes.
Storage: Keep in dry place at room temperature.
Shelf life: To be used by the date on the back side of the packaging.
